Class Descriptions For All Children's programming

Family yoga, Age 2-5 (Parent and Child)
Family Yoga classes are designed with the intention of allowing not just your child to benefit, but for you to feel good too. Taught in an interactive and fanciful format, these classes will have a handful of yoga games, songs, asana stories and magical meditations. Every class ends with a snuggly savasana with soft blankets and colorful eye pillows. This class requires pre registration for the 6-week session.
Family Yoga, Age 5-10 (Parent and Child)
This class provides an opportunity for you to enjoy an interactive yoga classalong with your child. Enjoy asana, meditations and breath work, yoga games and a replenishing savasana wrapped up in a thematic approach to asana. The intention is for you and your child or children enjoy time together, experience the benefits of yoga, and leave feeling replenished and renewed. Parenting is exhausting, your free time should not be! This class requires pre-registration for a 6-week session.
Kung Fu Panda Yoga, Age 9-12****NEW CLASS***
This children’s series will introduce the practice of Yo-Fu™ through learning a series of Hatha Yoga postures that come from India, Hip-Hop dance movements, and Chinese Kung-fu/Chi-kung and martial arts techniques. The roots of this style come from the mythical legends of Taoist traditions that bring together animal spirits (Dragon, Phoenix, Monkey etc.), mystic sages (Monk, Warrior, Goddess, etc.) and the Five Elements found in nature (Water, Metal, Fire, Wood & Water). Ancient breathing exercises created for balancing movement with stillness (Ha-Tha or Yin/Yang) and Hip-hop dance forms (Lockin’, Up/Down Rockin’ or Liquid, etc.) will be explored.

Open Yoga, Adults and children age 8 and older (Parent and Child. Children 13 and up can attend alone.)
Open yoga is for the parent who wants to attend a true yoga class along with their child or teen. This is a drop-in style class intended for enjoyment by an adult, but also open to children age 8 and up. It is a regular yoga class, taught by one of our adult certified yoga instructors, but your instructor is also Yoga Child certified to teach to children so that your children can participate safely by your side. This class is not taught in our Yoga Child format, but more closely resembles a regular yoga class. It is also open for adults to attend without children. So bring your childless friend or family member along with you. This is the only class which does not require pre-registration. You can pay as you go or use your family flex pass.
Pajama Yoga, Ages 4-8 ***NEW CLASS***
Give yourself a night off and give your little ones an evening of quiet yoga games, story time yoga, bean bag savasana, yoga craft making and much more. Be sure to dress your little yogis and yoginis in their favorite pajamas because when you return for your little one, he or she will be ready for a peaceful night of yoga induced sleep. This class comes with a healthy bed time snack, so please complete and return this food allergy form at least one week prior to the start date. $50 per night. Get a discount when you sign up for 3 dates at one time.
Story time Yoga Birth - Age 5 (Parent and Child)***NEW CLASS***
Together, you an your little ones will enjoy yoga and movement brought to you through playful and inspiring stories, picture books and our award winning CD, A Peaceful Place inside. Sitters and crawlers can enjoy bonding time with a parent or caregiver, all music and stories, but may not be able to do all movements.
Yoga Food and fun, Level I, Age 3-6,
The joy of yoga meets the joy of healthy eating. It is no secret that most parents would like their children to eat healthier and enjoy a wide variety of healthy snacks. Through yoga we will introduce little yogis and yoginis to some basic nutritional concepts and how they relate to movement and function of the body. After we have stretched, played and relaxed each child will have the opportunity to create and design their own nutritional snack and to enjoy eating it alongside their yoga friends. CPR certified staff on site. Please download and complete and return food allergy form one week prior to start date.
Yoga Food and Fun, Level II, age 7-10,
Through yoga we will introduce participants to basic nutritional concepts and how they relate to movement and function of the body and mind. After we are stretched, strengthened, relaxed and centered, each child will create and design their own healthy snack and enjoy eating it aside their yoga friends. Each child will create and design their own yoga journal in which they will be able to record the yoga that they learned and their favorite recipes of the day. Children will be encouraged to take their yoga journals home for continued yoga food and fun at home. CPR Certified Staff on site. Yoga Arts, Ages 5-8 ***New Class***
You asked for it - you got it! Now your little ones can enjoy a class which brings yoga and crafts together in one place. Your little ones can now experience how creative energy flows from heart to hands after a classic yoga child class. The first part of each class will be yoga based in our award winning format. From there students will be guided into arts and crafts projects which relate to the theme of the days yoga class. Create life sized self portraits, beaded bracelets and hand made yoga journals. Every class will end with savasana so that your young ones will be replenished and ready to go.
Kids Yoga Age 3-5
Just Kids Yoga classes are as they sound, just for your kids. They and are taught in a playful manner in our award winning Yoga Child format which blends asana, yoga music, yoga games, and magical meditations into an inspiring and replenishing thematic yoga class.
Kids Yoga Age 6-8
Just Kids Yoga classes are as they sound, just for your kids and are taught in a in our award winning Yoga Child format which blends asana, yoga games, breath work, and meditations into an inspiring and replenishing thematic yoga class.
At this age, class is still playful and themes remain playful and fanciful, but also expand to include more introspective themes such as balance, strenth and self awareness. Asana instruction will become more advanced for those students who are ready to begin to understand more accurately how to enjoy yoga asanas.
Kids Yoga age 9-12
Taught in our award winning format, pre-teens will learn yoga through the use of themes and practical life concepts such as establishing balance, creating strength and expanding self-awareness. Classes are designed to make learning fun and to enable students to take their lessons off the mat and into their home and school life. Classes begin with a discussion of the theme, followed by breathing techniques, asana instruction, guided rest and yoga journalling. The intention of this class is to help students find comfort and confidence with themselves through yoga breath work and an introduction to mindfulness.

These classes can be scheduled to take place Sundays from 9-9:50am, 2-2:50pm, Mondays from 5-5:50pm. Please call us to schedule your private session or small group class. Rates are below for your consideration:
Private parent child sessions: $99 for one parent and child, $50 per parent and child when sharing the class with another parent and child, $40 for groups of three and $35 for groups of four. Please call 215 238 0989 to schedule your small group private today.
Small group classes for kids: $85 for one child, $45 per child when sharing with another child, $35 per child for groups of three or more.
Yoga Dance Level I, Ages 3-6
This ever popular combination yoga and dance class combines elements of ballet, modern, hip hop and cultural dance with our award winning yoga child curriculum. It provides a unique opportunity to explore the inspiring world of expressive dance while receiving the replenishing benefits of yoga.
Yoga Dance Level II, 7-10
Same great format as level I, but class is 15 minutes longer and children will be taught more advanced dance technique and explore more challenging yoga poses. Children must be at least 7 to enroll in this class.
