Vinyasa - This class emphasizes sequencing of postures and  the practice of linking ones breath with the movement of the body. It can sometimes move at a faster pace then other classes, depending upon the level of the class. If you are brand new to yoga, we suggest that you start with our Tuesday evening Beginner series prior to coming to these classes. This will allow you to obtain a solid foundation prior to learning to link poses together and increasing your pace.

Level I-Appropriate for the new practitioner
Level II-Appropriate for the practitioner with at least one year of Yoga experience. You can expect to visit with some more challenging Asanas, such as arm balances and inversions. You may also find that this class moves at a more fluid pace than others.

Vinyasa Bliss- This class is the best of both worlds. A fluid vinyasa style yoga class for the first hour and restorative blissful yoga for the remaining 30 minutes. Some yoga experience is recommended as the vinyasa portion will move fluidly.

Vinyasa Prana Flow - Enjoy a fluid and challenging Vinyasa class with a focus on alignment, ease and safe sequencing. This class is set to great music so get ready to have some fun. While this class is open to all levels it is not recommended for those who are brand new to yoga.

Yin Bliss- Yin Yoga emphasizes the exercise of the more subtle layers of the body: tendons, ligaments, fascia, and bone. By applying gentle, sustained stress on the connective tissue, we encourage flexibility in the joints and indeed, throughout the entire body. A  typical class involves holding a variety of seated poses for 3-5 minutes at a time, allowing for insight into the inner workings of the body and mind. Fantastic for beginners or seasoned practitioners, expect to leave class feeling fully alert, deeply relaxed, and ready to embark on greatest practice of all.

Yoga Rise -
This class is an an early morning offering intended to awaken your body, enliven your spirit and center your soul, or to at least set a positive foundation for you day. Five minutes of sacred time will be reserved for a mini savasana before you head out into the South Street Sunshine. The 90 minute Yoga rise class will be the same format as above but with slightly longer durations of each aspect of the practice.

Level I - The strength based portion of the class will aim to strengthen you, but not overly challenge you. The strength based portion in a level I class will not include sun salutations or move at a rapid pace.

Level II - The strength based portion of this class will aim to challenge and detoxify. Your instructor may do this through use of sun salutations, longer holds of strength based asanas or through kundalini infusion.
