Ayurveda for ADHD
A day of understanding with Vishnu

Learn to Apply This system of Natural Health Care to Your child's life
Ayurveda is a holistic approach to healing that individualizes care according to the constitution of each individual. Ayurveda is the sister science of Yoga and in its literal translation is the "Science of Life." ADHD is a commonly diagnosed condition that continues to arise in our modern society. Living in a culture where everything is fast-paced and often over-stimulating is perpetuating this difficulty to maintain focus. This workshop will bridge the gap between the Eastern view and Western idea around this phenomena, more specifically through Ayruveda (the sister science of Yoga) and TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine). We will address possible causes and helpful remedies to take hold of this in order to encourage balance.
Ayurveda For Anxiety
with Vishnu
Understand and manage Anxiety through Ayurveda
Anxiety can be considered a hyper-aroused state of the nervous system which is influenced by various types of stress(ors) and dictates the direction of other potentially health-related issues, affecting mind, body and spirit. Ayurveda, known as the science of life, is a holistic medical science connected with the yogic tradition. In this workshop we will explore the root causes of anxiety, how anxiety can be triggered, and how to manage and reduce anxiety according to Eastern tradition and philosophy.

REVIEW
"Going on my 3rd class in my 6 class beginner series and I am well impressed by the little gem which is Yoga Child. The series is being instructed by Paige and I feel that she is an excellent teacher. She takes the time to explain each pose, but I feel the class runs smoothly and we're never "stuck" trying to perfect one pose. The price of the series is well justified for the quality of the class you receive.
The studio itself is very lovely and is a joy to practice in. Once you enter the studio and the sliding doors are closed, you almost forget about the harsh winter wind and bustle of the city outside. I also find that the studio is kept at a very reasonable temperature. There's nothing worse than a cold studio when you're trying to loosen up those muscles!
Bonus: At the end of our class, Paige walks around and gives a quick massage to our neck and temples. This is the type of detail that will make me a life-long member at Yoga Child."

The Essential Threads For Mastering change
Change is the only constant…and your success in life hinges on your ability to adapt to change. But what is your capacity to deal with change on a daily bases? Yoga and its ancient teachings offer a clear path towards mastering change and resiliency. The main focus of this yoga practice will be simple and accessible postures with an emphasis on twists and forward folds. In addition to a full audio recording of the practice and lecture, you will receive a ten-page guide that highlights all the key teachings. But more importantly, you will leave empowered with wisdom that can change your life off the mat.
